PRIDE-District Orientation is a professional learning activity that focuses specifically on the challenges of teachers either new to the profession or new to the district. Whether you have taught 20 years or zero years, PRIDE-District Orientation offers something for you.

There will be two summer offerings of PRIDE-District Orientation. The first opportunity will take place on Monday and Tuesday, June 26 and 27. The second offering will be held on Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 1. New hires have the option to choose the date that best meets their schedule and learning needs.

PRIDE-District Orientation focuses on Expectations. You will be introduced to district expectations such as explicit instruction, the TEAM Rubric, an overview of district strategic work, and an overview of your curriculum. Your introduction to District Expectations will provide you with a foundation and big picture of what teaching looks like in CMCSS.
